When you say SURFING in Costa Rica, you are talking about the area around Brisas del Paraiso/Paradise Breezes. Dominical, a short 5 km. from Brisas del Paraiso/Paradise Breezes, is famous for its surfing. Playa Dominical is considered by both Ticos and Tourists to be the most consistent wave in Costa Rica. Wave heights rarely drop below waist-high, with ideal sandbars producing quality lefts, rights, and plenty of good barrels.

Playa Dominical is the focal point for surfing in the area, and normally sees between 10 and 30 surfers in the water during the high season (Dec-Mar and Jun-Aug).
